Best day ever! Matt Dentler, my friend from The Daily Texan, invited me to photograph the Austin Studios to photograph the Flaming Lips being filmed for the Sponge Bob Square Pants movie. It was so much fun getting to romp around the sound stage. The lighting was tricky, but I got some pretty good stuff on the digital and (hopefully) some good stuff on the Blad.
UPDATE :: I added rad video from the shoot! If you look closely you’ll see me. I’m wearing pink.

Yes the kitten is real. He is a “rescue” from Craigslist. In order to make sure he would be very interested in the cereal milk he was denied breakfast. We had to do quite a few takes … I hope he didn’t get sick on the car ride home. Lighting these was a real challenge. Everything seem to be reflective or casting a shadow. Matt did a great job with the art direction! It was fun to work with someone who is so creative and talented.
For those of you who read my blog on RSS readers. Please be patient. I started blogging a long (long) time ago. I took my old blog offline because it was mostly personal and a little risque. I’ve decided to re-release (some of) that old content. So … be patient and get ready for some moldy oldies.
