Yippeee!!! It’s my new photo studio. Doesn’t look like much yet, but it is going to be jamming! Renovation starts Monday. The right side of the building is for my studio and the other side is going to be used by Do512.com.
I’ve been spending countless hours thinking about furniture and flooring and playing with numbers to see how much I can spend. It is going to be so nice to move out of the old house I’ve been working in and have my own space. I love it because it’s funky and HIP! The location is amazing. I’m on S. Lamar a block from Birds Barbershop.

Yea! Hanna’s birthday party at the Austin Children’s Museum could not have been more fun. Of course I am the only one who is not a child and does not have a child, but that didn’t stop me from eating a cupcake covered in 1.5 inches of frosting. YUMMY!

Disco and I watched Scott install the new thermostat last night. The old one stopped working when they installed the new central air conditioner. We used Blackmon Mooring to install the new AC. They charged us WAY too much for the AC unit, but we had to purchase it because we’d already gone almost a week with no AC and it was only going to get hotter outside. Unbelievably despite us paying them more than $4000 for the new unit they did not put in a new thermostat!! Because it was a Friday when they put it in we had to wait until MONDAY for them to come and install a new one. They were going to charge us $300+ to put the new one in. We ended up getting a new one at Home Depot and installing it ourselves. It cost $30 and took about 10 minutes. If you are in the market for a new HVAC I don’t suggest using Blackmon Mooring.
