Yesterday I had the fun task of photographing the Do512 team for their SXSW press release (attached below). For the record photographing with lots of strobes and no assistant on a windy day is a pain. If you haven’t already RSVP’d for the huge day party Do512 is hosting at the compound hurry up and do so. Caved In This was a wonderful wedding! I can’t imagine a better way to spend Valentines Day than celebrating two people finding true love. Christy is an artist which was evident in all of the attention to detial. Laguna Gloria is a pretty place to have a wedding, but this was the best I’ve ever seen it look. The floewrs were stunning and I loved the linens. My favorite part of this wedding was when Ray got the ceremony started by singing a love song to Christy. It was SO romantic. This was the first time I’ve seen the band Blind Date perform at a wedding and they were a hoot! Random aside, Jason - the drummer, was one of my friends in elementary and middle school. Great wedding! I hope you two spend many happy years together!!!

The after party (with Karioke) was at the Alagator Grill - where scenes of the movie were filmed. Overall the event was really fun. It has been ages since I’ve seen Office Space and it was fun to see it on the big screen. I’m a huge Mike Judge fan so it was great to listen to him during the QandA. My only complaint was that John McGinley was a jerk. Which is a huge disappointment because I think he is pretty funny in Scrubs. I’m NOT a papparizzi, and I was being really nice so he had no reason to be so lame! The only photo that was officially requested at the after party was one of the cast in front of the Aligator Grill sign. I asked McGinley (very nicely - twice) to take a small step back so two other co-stars would be in the frame. He wasn’t listening, so I gently put my hand on his shoulder and asked him again. His responce was to say “DON’T TOUCH ME” and storm out of the photo. Lame. I have a very low tollerence for such Hollywood nonsence. I’m glad I’m not in the news business anymore. For the record I’d take brides over movie stars ANY DAY!

These two are adorable and so in love. They met five years ago while singing in high school choir and have been together ever since. To say this wedding went smoothly would be a serious understatement. Barbra, from Barbra’s bride, kept everything running smoothly. The flowers were gorgeous and smelled amazing! The food was YUMMY and the crowd was lively. No pressure - Andy’s mom is a photographer. I wish these two the very best that life has to offer! Prints will be available for purchase soon on my proofing website.
