A huge thank you to Suzi Q for sending Holly my way! The first time I got to meet Holly was on her wedding day, and I knew from the start she was my kind of girl. Her wedding was filled with tons of thoughtful details and goodies from Etsy. I was especially fond of her table numbering system which was based on jars of colorful items like Crayons and Buttons. Very clever! I also loved the cats (Femo replicas of the brides felines) that graced the grooms cake.

I’m going to have to plead better late than never. I’ve been very bad about blogging lately. The last couple of weeks I’ve made a point to take at least one day off and the result has been no blogging. The good news is all of my other work is still getting done. 
Donna and Lon where so amazingly sweet and easy going on their wedding day. This is a wedding I’ve been looking forward to for months because — Lon’s mom is a friend of mine! She is a fellow photographer and we attended the same Photojournalism program at UT - a few years apart. It was a little nerve racking knowing that he mother of the groom has about 20 more years of wedding photography experience than I do, but not once did she tell me how I should do my job. Thanks y’all! Have a happy life together.

The Way We Were
Thanks you two! These two were very good sports and let me try shooting their session in manual mode. I’ve been shooting in P mode (program or professional as I like to think of it) for the last 10 years. I think it is time for me to grow up and start shooting (portraits at least) in manual mode. Manual requires so much more mental effort!!! Hopefully it will start to seem natural because I’m very happy with the results (of the photos that were exposed well). I’m also trying something new on the blog and only posting a couple of photos. It takes so long to put together big posts… and in all honesty there are other things I’d rather be doing than blogging. No offense to the three people that read my blog.
