January 14 at 3:08pm at 8 pounds 6 ounces and 21 inches. We named little Lucy after our grandmothers, and we could not be any happier to welcome her to our family. She is hands down the most beautiful newborn I’ve ever seen, and she is oh so sweet!

At long last the Austin Chronicle Music Anthology is finished. Austin Powell and Doug Freeman did a great job of combing the Chrnoicle Archives and putting together a magnificent book. The book includes some of my photographs and lots of photographs I did take. The book is really special to me because my first job ever (back in 1996) was photographing bands for the Chronicle. I worked for the paper for more than a decade and it will always have a very special place in my heart. Kate Messer, Raoul Hernandez and Taylor Jones were the first people to champion my photography and I have them to thank for helping me start my career.
