Gus and Shelia had a wonderful multicultural celebration. Part Scottish part Indian with guests from as far away as England and Australia. Usually Sunday weddings are pretty tame, but this one was an exception!  Guests had LOTS of fun and stayed late. It was fun getting to shoot at Star Hill. The place reminds me of an Old West movie set.

Photographing the photographer is no easy task. When Matt Lankes asked me to photograph his wedding a few months ago I said yes immediately and then kicked myself for not thinking about how much pressure it would involve. Matt is an amazing portrait photographer and regularly shoots for Texas Monthly

, The New York Times and many many many more publications. The wedding was extremely pretty and the weather was PERFECT! Which is a blessing on December 20. The guest list was a Who’s Who of photographers including Michael O’Brien, Wyatt McSpadden, Rick Patrick, David Omer, and Chris Conroy to name just a few.  Oh and the cameras. I saw 2 of the new Canon 5d Mark II, 1 Canon G10, 2 Canon 1ds Mark III, 1 Nikon D3, 2 plastic Dianas, and a Polaroid Land Camera.  I usually try not to have other cameras in my photos, but I just decided to embrase it at this wedding.
